Unleash your creativity in this vibrant, hands-on class where students will create fantastical dragonflies using paper mache, wire armature and dazzling embellishments. Inspired by nature and imagination, you’ll sculpt and paint your own shimmering dragonfly, bringing it to life with colorful wings, metallic paints and bling. Not only fun, this call is for anyone who loves to create something beautiful and totally unique. This is a 5-week workshop. Please supply your own scissors, wire cutters and glue guns. All other materials will be provided for a $30 supply fee paid on the first day of class.

Discover a whole new world hidden in the details! Join us for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to macrophotography in the beautiful Herrig Center for the ARTS sculpture garden. Whether you bring with you a cell phone or camera, you’ll learn simple ways to capture close-up textures, patterns, and tiny moments you might normally overlook.
No experience is required—just bring your curiosity. We’ll explore the garden’s plants and other natural elements, practicing how to use light, focus, and composition to create stunning macro images.
Students are to bring a camera and/or cell phone to this class.

Do you need a SPLASH of color? This class can make the difference. This is a NO pattern composition. I’ll help you with creating your own design using stitching, fabric, cording, beads and some surprise stuff that I will offer for use. Upon completion, you can hang them, put them over the back of a chair, use them as a table runner, etc. This is as new offering at the Herrig and I know you will love it, so bring your creativity and join me for a fun experience.
