Designed for potters of all experience levels, this skill-building course focuses on the development of wheel-thrown cylinders, including cups, tumblers, vases, and utensil holders. Each class guides students through the process of strengthening core throwing skills, refining proportions and shape, experimenting with surface decoration, and enhancing finished work through thoughtful glazing techniques. Whether you are learning to center clay and pull consistent walls or seeking greater precision and artistic expression, this course provides opportunities for growth at every stage. This vessel-focused class is the first in an ongoing series dedicated to mastering specific ceramic forms, helping students build both technical skill and a deeper understanding of design, function, and craftsmanship. Class includes 25# of clay, in studio glazing & firing. Basic tool kit should be purchased at the front desk.
