Great for artists’ journals and plein air, for sketching or serious artwork, they even mix well with pen and ink and traditional watercolor. Some paper is provided; bring your own pencils or borrow class sets.

Underpainting with a single color in water-soluble oil paints makes a great base for color drawing. Quickly establish values and unify the color scheme. Arches oil paper works with both oil paint and colored pencils. Paint and paper provided, brushes and pencil sets available for use in class. Choice of subject with color reference. If you bring your own reference, be sure it has strong values and bring a black and white photocopy (8.5×11’).
