Figure Drawing Open Studio

Figure Drawing Open Studio

Figure Drawing Open Studio
Saturdays, 1:00-3:30

Welcome to ACM life drawing sessions. While drawing the human figure and having some experience is helpful, in these sessions all artistic levels are welcome. There will be a monitor with experience to set up the model with lighting, position and set pace for changing poses during each session. Our studio monitor will gladly give drawing advice or opinion as you request. Experienced advice will be based on observation of the model’s form and drawing techniques to translate onto paper. Your studio advisor will also be drawing during these sessions, so feel free to observe and share thoughts and questions. Model fee is included with these drawing sessions. Be sure to bring your own dry art media materials of choice. Please expect partial draped or undraped model poses.  Suggestions for basic materials are; Kneaded Eraser and White Plastic Eraser, Charcoal Pencils 2B-4B or Vine charcoal sticks-soft, Graphite Pencils 2B and 4B and a Newsprint or Sketch pad, size 18×24″. Materials are readily available online or at local art and craft stores.  The Monitor, Gary Green’s background includes a creative career with National Advertising and Marketing Agencies, as well as freelance illustration and design projects. Currently active in showing at local and regional art exhibits.
